Water sample analysis: This is one of its most famous applications. It can directly analyze volatile polar organic compounds in water samples, and the water peak appears very early, with good symmetry, no tailing, and minimal interference with subsequent components. This is something that many other fixed phases find difficult to achieve.
Alcohols, aldehydes, ketones: have good separation effects on lower alcohols (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, etc.), formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acetone, etc.
